Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before purchasing or using PRISMA RenderPass ("the Add-on," "the Product"). PRISMA RenderPass is developed and owned by Darwin Nisttahuz & Fa Eyzaguirre ("we," "us," "our"). By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using PRISMA RenderPass, you ("the User," "you") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not purchase or use the Product.
1. Product Description
PRISMA RenderPass is a Blender compositor add-on that automates render pass setup, including one-click creation of File Output nodes per render pass and one-click Multi-Layer EXR assembly, along with node updating, prefixing, frame padding, and output-directory management. PRISMA RenderPass is provided as a digital product for use within the Blender software environment (Blender 2.93 and later).
2. License
2.1. PRISMA RenderPass's source code is released under the GNU General Public License (GPL), as required for Blender add-ons that use Blender's Python API, and as listed on our Superhive (formerly Blender Market) product page. The GPL governs your rights to use, study, modify, and redistribute the source code itself, subject to the GPL's own terms (available at gnu.org/licenses/gpl).
2.2. What you purchase from us is access to the packaged download, and a 12-month period of updates and support, tied to your individual purchase ("seat"). This commercial arrangement is separate from — and does not restrict — the rights the GPL already grants you over the code itself.
2.3. Because the code is GPL-licensed, we do not and cannot restrict your right to modify or redistribute it under GPL terms. What we ask, as a courtesy to support continued development, is that you:
- Purchase your own copy rather than obtaining it through someone else's redistribution, if you're using it professionally or benefiting from our support and updates;
- Not use our name, branding, or the "PRISMA RenderPass" product name to market a redistributed or modified copy as if it were an official release.
2.4. Support and update access under Section 2.2 is tied to the individual purchaser and is not resold, transferred, or shared as part of a marketplace purchase — extending or renewing that access requires a purchase through Superhive (or another authorized channel) by the person who wants it.
3. Ownership and Intellectual Property
3.1. PRISMA RenderPass — including its branding, product name, documentation, marketing assets, and listing content — is owned by Darwin Nisttahuz & Fa Eyzaguirre. The underlying source code is licensed to you under the GPL as described in Section 2.
3.2. Output you generate using PRISMA RenderPass within your own Blender projects (organized render passes, composited images, rendered footage) belongs entirely to you.
4. Payment and Pricing
4.1. PRISMA RenderPass is currently listed on Superhive (formerly Blender Market) at $20 USD, which includes 12 months of updates and support. Pricing is subject to change for future purchases and is set on the Superhive listing at the time of purchase.
4.2. Extending the support/update period beyond the initial 12 months costs 100% of the product's current price, as set by Superhive's extension mechanism.
4.3. Payments are processed through Superhive's payment system (or another storefront we may use in the future). We do not directly collect or store your payment card details.
5. Refund Policy
5.1. PRISMA RenderPass is a digital product delivered instantly upon purchase. As a general policy, we do not offer refunds once the Product has been downloaded, except where required by applicable consumer protection law.
5.2. If you purchased through Superhive, refund requests are also subject to Superhive's own marketplace refund policy, which may apply independently of this section. Check Superhive's terms for their process.
5.3. If you experience a technical issue that prevents the Product from working as described, contact us at contact.prismarenderpass@gmail.com first — we'll try to resolve it before any refund conversation.
6. Updates and Support
6.1. Your purchase includes 12 months of updates and support, as listed on the Superhive product page. During this period we will do our reasonable best to fix reported bugs and answer usage questions.
6.2. After the initial 12 months, continued access to new updates and support requires an extension purchase (Section 4.2). You may continue using the version of PRISMA RenderPass you already have indefinitely — the GPL license doesn't expire — but you won't automatically receive new updates or support without extending.
6.3. We do not guarantee ongoing compatibility with future Blender versions or render engines beyond what's listed on the product page at any given time (currently Blender 2.93–5.x).
6.4. When installing an updated version, uninstall the previous version and restart Blender first, as noted on the product page.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
7.1. PRISMA RenderPass is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement — consistent with the GPL's own disclaimer of warranty.
7.2. We do not warrant that the Product will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every hardware, render engine, or Blender configuration.
8. Limitation of Liability
8.1. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Darwin Nisttahuz & Fa Eyzaguirre shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including lost render time, lost data, or project delays — arising from use of or inability to use PRISMA RenderPass.
8.2. Our total liability arising out of these Terms or the Product shall not exceed the amount you paid for it.
9. Trademark and Branding
You may not use the "PRISMA RenderPass" name, our branding, or claim official affiliation with us when distributing modified versions of the code, even though the GPL permits you to distribute the code itself.
10. Termination
10.1. We may end your access to paid support and updates if you materially breach these Terms (e.g., misusing our branding, fraudulent purchase). This does not revoke your GPL rights over any code copy you already have.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of PRISMA RenderPass after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where the GPL license itself specifies otherwise for matters of code licensing.
